1958          Born and raised in Eisleben – Abitur (university entrance qualification) in Dessau

1975-79     Studied to become a teacher of mathematics and physics at the University of Education in Halle/Saale

Since 1979 Teacher of mathematics and physics, later of art in Schwedt/Oder

Since 1975 Mentored and artistically supervised by the painter Paul Otto Knust

1984          Moved to Aschersleben

1990-1999 Founded and artistically directed the Aschersleben Art School 

                 Co-founder of the Aschersleben Art and Culture Association

Since 1991 Teacher at the Gymnasium (high school) for art and mathematics/physics

1999-2004 Studied at the Burg Giebichenstein University of Art and Design Halle (Department of Art Education)

                 Includes one year as a guest student at the Leipzig Academy of Visual Arts (HGB Leipzig) (etching with Prof. Ullrich Hachulla)

2004:        Member of the BBK Saxony-Anhalt (Professional Association of Visual Artists)

2008-2010 Conception and supervision of the creative workshop for the Saxony-Anhalt State Garden Show in Aschersleben

Since then  Artistic and pedagogical supervision of the Aschersleben Workshops for Art and Science

2011         Education Prize of the City of Aschersleben

2012         Award for Voluntary Service of the Salzland District

Since 2013 Collaboration with the City Hotel Aschersleben

2019         Retirement from teaching

Since 2021 Editor of various art books, self-published and for the Kreativwerkstatt Aschersleben (Aschersleben Creative Workshop)
