Paul Otto Knust - Life and Work

Paul Otto Knust belongs to the artists of the “Lost Generation.” A graduate of Burg Giebichenstein University of Art and Design in Halle in the early 1950s and a master student of Charles Crodel, he, like all his teachers and fellow students at the time, became embroiled in the Formalism debate. As a result, he chose a path of internal exile. His work remained largely unpublished. This book introduces the life and work of the artist Otto Knust.
